Report a problem

If something is not working right in the app, you can:

• Use the Send Feedback option in the app (Profile tab > Settings > Send Feedback)
• Email us at hello@queerspace.nz with a description of what happened

Please include what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and which device you are using. Screenshots help.

Report content

If you see a review that violates our community guidelines, you can report it directly in the app by tapping the Report button on any review. Our moderation team reviews every report.

For urgent safety concerns, email hello@queerspace.nz with "URGENT" in the subject line.

Delete your account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Visit the Delete Your Data page for instructions, or go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account in the app.

When you delete your account:

• Your profile and personal information are permanently removed
• Your reviews are anonymised (author information is stripped)
• Your email address, demographics, and preferences are deleted
• This action cannot be undone

Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to how QueerSpace is built. We never store your GPS coordinates, we never sell data, and we never show advertising. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use QueerSpace?

You can browse the map and read reviews anonymously. You need an account (which can be anonymous) to write reviews, save bookmarks, or set notification preferences.

Can businesses pay for better ratings?

No. Ratings are entirely community-driven. No business can pay for a better rating or have an honest review removed.

Is my location tracked?

No. Your GPS coordinates are used only for the live map display and are never stored. Your location is never recorded more precisely than suburb level.

Can I review anonymously?

Yes. Anonymous reviews are a privacy feature, not something suspicious. You control your visibility level in the Privacy settings.

What happens if I report a review?

Reports go to our moderation team for review. We assess every report against our community guidelines. The reviewer is not notified of who reported their content.
